The Fluidform approach focuses on the functional benefits that Pilates can bring to the human form. Since founding Fluidform in 2012, founder Kirsten King’s name has become synonymous with a coaching style that is warm, supportive and encouraging.

We offer highly personalised programming with in-depth technical knowledge, a modern approach to Pilates that is engaging and enjoyable.

At Fluidform our clients are at the forefront of everything we do, and our focus is to make a meaningful impact – we are confident in our knowledge and know that our clients leave feeling stronger in mind and body.

During the Initial Consultation your senior instructor will work with you to understand your body and needs, design your personalised program and map your path forward within the studio.

To book an Initial Consultation, first purchase the “Initial Consultation” or “Studio Starter Pack” through the Mindbody portal for your studio of choice. This can be found under “BOOK A CLASS” in the navigation bar.

Then email your studio with your availability, and we will schedule you in as soon as we can.

For your safety and hygiene, we are a socks-on studio. Please bring your Pilates socks (or you can purchase these in studio), plus water and a small towel.

We recommend you attend at least twice a week to see the change and feel the difference that Pilates can make to your mind and body. If you have more time available, we recommend three sessions a week to see a faster transformation.

Yes, Pilates is safe during pregnancy. Pilates can safely help you build strength and stability throughout your pregnancy. Our instructors are trained in Pre and Postnatal Pilates and can provide appropriate modifications as needed.

We encourage our clients to complete an Initial Consultation and then attend the small group Studio or Equipment Pilates during their pregnancy. Within these classes your individual personalised program can be changed daily based on how your body is feeling and changing.

We encourage clients to receive clearance from their health practitioner or obstetrician before commencing exercise again. This usually happens at six weeks post birth.

Our studios offer Mums & Bubs classes which provide a safe and supportive environment for you to bring your baby along to class. Bubby can rest in the pram or on a mat next to you while you work out. Suitable for babies that are not yet mobile.

Our experienced instructors can modify for you as needed. For specific injury or post-surgery rehabilitation, we encourage our clients to complete an Initial Consultation and then attend the personalised Studio or Equipment Pilates classes.

At Fluidform we see younger clients on a case-by-case basis, always starting with an Initial Consultation or referral. We currently have children as young as 12 attending our studios, with parental supervision.

Our studios all have current COVID-19 Safety Plans and adhere to the requirements for their geographical area. Our instructors implement appropriate distancing between clients, and we thoroughly clean equipment after each client.

Bookings are essential and we require all clients to check-in using the state government QR Code check-in system if applicable.

Fluidform at Home (FFAH) offers the ultimate in-studio Pilates experience, at home. FFAH gives you access to over 300 online workouts. No matter your fitness level or experience – beginner, intermediate, advanced, Prenatal and Postnatal – there is something for everyone!

Your FFAH subscription includes online classes in mat and small equipment Pilates, Prenatal and Postnatal specific programs, Pilates Reformer, barre, boxing, skipping, cardio, stretch and relaxation.

FLUIDFORM AT HOME – MEMBERSHIP TERMS & CONDITIONS

FFAH is a subscription-based program with monthly, 3-month and 12-month subscription options. The monthly subscription is billed monthly, the 3-month subscription is billed quarterly, and the 12-month subscription is billed yearly. All of these subscriptions can be cancelled at any time through your online account.

Previously FFAH offered 3-month and 12-month minimum term membership options, which were billed monthly. If you have one of those subscriptions then after your 3-month or 12-month minimum term commitment has passed, you can cancel at any time through your online account.

All subscriptions are rolling which means that your subscription will continue to be billed each month after your minimum term has been met, until you cancel your membership. This is stated in the T&Cs that are agreed upon at checkout when you initially sign up.

PLEASE NOTE: You are unable to proceed through the checkout process without accepting these T&Cs.

Fluidform at Home’s website (hereinafter referred to as the “Website”) is designed to provide you with high quality video of fitness classes, strength and stretch routines, foundational moves, information about fitness and bringing together a community of people that are interested in Pilates. This Website is not directed to persons under eighteen (18) years of age. The Website is owned by Fluidform at Home.

Cancellation Policy

Your Fluidform at Home subscription will continue until terminated. Unless you cancel your subscription before your billing date, you authorise us to charge the membership fee for the next billing cycle to your Payment Method.

You can cancel your Fluidform at Home subscription once your minimum contracted term has been met, and you will continue to have access to the Fluidform at Home service through the end of your billing period. To the extent permitted by the applicable law, payments are non-refundable, and we do not provide refunds or credits for any partial subscription periods or unused Fluidform at Home content. To cancel, go to the “My Account” dropdown and select “Subscriptions” and then click “View” and follow the instructions for cancellation. If you cancel your subscription, your account will automatically close at the end of your current billing period.

When participating in Fluidform at Home ensure you always:

Check that you have sufficient space to practice
Check there are no trip/slip hazards
Check there are no objects you may fall on or come in contact with
Check there are no sharp objects or hot surfaces near by
Ensure you have sufficient lighting
Ensure your camera/screen and other electrical appliances, including cables, are on a levelled surface and not in your training space causing a trip hazard
Ensure the room has sufficient ventilation
Ensure you have water to keep hydrated
Remember to seek medical advice before training if you have any existing injuries or other medical conditions
Remember that children require adult supervision whilst practicing
Ensure all household members are aware of the training and avoid entering the space

Yes, our Postnatal program has been specifically designed to get you moving safely and help rebuild strength and abdominal connection post birth. We recommend that you seek clearance from a medical professional before recommencing exercise, this usually happens at about 6 weeks postpartum. We are so excited to have so many of our beautiful studio clients sign up for FFAH. The best way to use FFAH in conjunction with your studio schedule is to follow FFAH exactly as prescribed and skip the suggested workout on the days that you visit the studio.

If you are training towards a goal or want to push yourself a little more, you can follow the program exactly and double up on the days you are in the studio.

FLUIDFORM AT HOME - WORKOUTS

The workouts vary from 5 minutes up to 50 minutes. They are designed to be completed on their own or layered together to increase the intensity. We know that 20 minutes a day, 5 days a week is all it takes to see the change and feel the difference.

The workouts are short, targeted, and effective, designed to be able to easily squeeze into your day. If you have more time or want to increase the intensity, layer them together to get the ultimate burn.

Your FFAH subscription includes online on-demand classes in mat and small equipment Pilates, Prenatal and Postnatal specific programs, Pilates Reformer, barre, boxing, skipping, cardio, stretch and relaxation.

Workouts are fitness level specific and focused either on specific body parts or total body, so no matter your goals, there is something for everyone.

When you sign up to a paid 12-month subscription you will receive a FREE Equipment Pack which includes a Small Ball, Disc Set, Resistance Bands and a carry bag. These pieces are enough; however, you can always intensify your workouts by adding additional small equipment which is available to purchase through our online store.

We currently have 28 Reformer specific workouts online with new workouts being added regularly. Reformer workouts are programmed at an intermediate level, and we recommend you follow our Reformer Challenges that include a mix of Reformer and Small Equipment workouts to get the most out of FFAH.

When you sign up you will be prompted to complete a short questionnaire, you will then receive a Personalised Program tailored to you and your individual needs. This is the best place to start as it provides you with additional guidance on how to move safely and get the most out of the program. After you have completed your Personalised Program 2-3 times you can move onto your Recommended Challenges that are found on your dashboard. These have been selected for you based on your questionnaire responses and will map out your first 6 months of workouts.

The fitness level is based on your Pilates experience and overall fitness level.

Beginner – you are new to Pilates or consider yourself unfit.
Intermediate – you have been practicing Pilates for a few years or consider yourself fit.
Advanced – you have been practicing Pilates for over 5 years.
Prenatal – you are currently pregnant.
Postnatal – you have had a baby in the last 8 months, or still consider yourself Postnatal.

FLUIDFORM AT HOME – RESULTS

Pilates is geared towards toning your muscles rather than increasing your muscle mass. This is achieved by using your bodyweight for resistance and focusing on both smaller muscle groups and global muscles. A specific combination of stretching and strengthening effectively builds lean muscle mass without the ‘bulk’.

Pilates works muscles in an elongated position under tension (eccentric contraction). This type of contraction builds long, strong muscles – the muscles lengthen as they resist force. In contrast, a concentric contraction is where the muscle shortens as it overcomes added weight or force – this shortening muscle contraction is what causes the ‘bulk effect’.

Pilates works the body as an integrated whole – ensuring balanced muscle development across the entire body.

The regular practice of Pilates in tandem with a nutritionally balanced diet will help with weight loss. Weight loss is about balancing the energy we burn versus the number of calories we consume.

Muscle is more metabolically active than fat. This means that increasing your muscle mass will help speed up your metabolism and burn more calories throughout the day (even when at rest).

Focusing on your breathing is essential to Pilates. This simultaneously calms the nervous system, improves your sleep quality, and prevents rising cortisol levels. Cortisol stimulates glucose production which can then turn into fat.

Pilates trains your intercostals (muscles that help you breathe). By increasing your lung capacity and flexibility through your ribcage, you are increasing the exchange of oxygen into carbon – which in turn helps to burn calories.

The Pilates mind-body connection is key to weight loss. As you start to become more aware of your body, stretching and strengthening muscles you never knew existed, your attitude lifts, motivation increases and mindset improves, naturally generating a holistic, healthy lifestyle.

FLUIDFORM AT HOME - CHALLENGES

Challenges are specially designed programs of workouts that will optimise your results. They range in duration from 7 days to 6 weeks. Challenges are available in a beginner or advanced option, with additional challenges for Prenatal and Postnatal, and Reformer.

Challenges take the guesswork out of exercising by guiding you each day on which workout/s to complete. Challenges are either focused on a specific area of the body or total body and are chosen based on your needs / goals.

New challenges are launched monthly and provided on your Dashboard, giving you the opportunity to complete them in real time alongside our community members, or to access at any time on demand.

Challenges are available in a beginner or advanced option. Both Challenge options include similar workouts, with the advanced option including more workouts each day. If you are new to Pilates or consider yourself unfit, we recommend you starting with the beginner option. You can always switch to advanced at any stage if you feel you need a further challenge.

Our Prenatal and Postnatal members should select the challenge appropriate for their pregnancy journey.

Both challenge options include similar workouts, with the advanced option including more workouts layered together each day. If you are new to Pilates or consider yourself unfit, we recommend you start with the beginner option. You can always switch to advanced at any stage if you feel you need a further challenge.

For added intensity, it is recommended to complete all the workouts together, however if you are short on time splitting the workouts throughout the day is still effective. You can work through your challenge in your own time, it will be saved on your Dashboard with your progress recorded.

We recommend a minimum of 5 days a week as we know this is where you get results.

Each of the challenges have the equipment listed so you can see what is required. If you do not have the required equipment, it can be purchased through our online store.

You will receive 14-days of Fluidform workouts that are fitness level specific based on the option that you selected. You will also have unlimited access to Fluidform Nutrition – recipes and meals plans.

14-Day FREE Trial participants do not receive a FREE Equipment Pack. All new, first-time paid 12-month subscriptions will receive the FREE Equipment Pack. If you join again in the future, you are not eligible for another FREE Equipment Pack, but you can purchase new or additional packs through our online store.

FLUIDFORM AT HOME – ACCOUNTS & BILLING

FFAH is a subscription-based program with monthly, 3-month and 12-month subscription options. The monthly subscription is billed monthly, the 3-month subscription is billed quarterly, and the 12-month subscription is billed yearly. All of these subscriptions can be cancelled at any time through your online account.

Previously FFAH offered 3-month and 12-month minimum term membership options, which were billed monthly. If you have one of those subscriptions then after your 3-month or 12-month minimum term commitment has passed, you will be charged on a rolling monthly basis until you elect to cancel. You can cancel at any time after your 3-month or 12-month minimum term commitment has passed, through your online account.

All FFAH subscriptions are billed to your nominated credit card or debit card via our secure online payment platform.

PLEASE NOTE: A valid credit card is required to activate all subscriptions, including subscriptions using a Gift Voucher.

Yes, you can purchase a Gift Voucher through our online store. Gift vouchers are available for 3-month or 12-month subscriptions (FREE Equipment Pack available for 12-month subscriptions for new members).

The Fluidform App uses very little data when just navigating around and viewing items like recipes, meal plans and challenges.

If you do a workout and play a video then the data usage will increase to around 23MB for every minute of video footage, which is roughly 700MB for a 30min workout.

If you plan to do a workout using your Mobile Data then you should know that the app allows you to download and store workouts on your device. Once you’ve downloaded a workout to your device it won’t use any extra data each time you play that workout.

Yes, you can Chromecast to your TV from both iOS and Android. You can also mirror your screen through Apple Air Play to your TV. Your device must be compatible to do this.

The Fluidform App doesn’t currently support a connection to your Apple Watch, but it is something that we are working on.

Yes, you can integrate your HealthKit.

The majority of our workouts have background music playing. You can choose to play your own music, however you may not be able to hear the exercise cueing.

When you sign up to FFAH we automatically post you your FREE Equipment Pack (if you are eligible) to your nominated shipping address, which contains equipment for you to use in the workouts.

The FREE Equipment Pack includes Small Ball, Disc Set and Resistance Bands in 5 x different strengths, and a carry bag.

Use the enclosed straw to inflate your ball, and seal with the small white plug provided. Aim to inflate the ball to approx. 3/4 full, enough that it is round, but still has a small amount of give. Some workouts will ask you to reduce the inflation of the ball.

Discs are safe for all surfaces. Use the logo side up for carpet (soft floors) or logo side down for floorboards and tiles (hard floors).
